The Moberly School District’s Board of Education received a study Tuesday, Nov. 11 determining their bonding capacity, ahead of their asking voters in April to maintain their current tax levy.

Supt. Cristina Wright says the presentation at Tuesday’s board meeting included proposed ballot language.

Moberly’s current tax rate is $4.91 per $100 of assessed value, with $1.14 allocated for debt service. Also Tuesday night, the board approved a motion to fill several positions ahead of the next school year.

Also approved Tuesday night was a budget request for additional supplies for the girls wrestling program.

About a dozen policy revisions were given a second reading, including several pertaining to student discipline and safety, special education, and the use of artificial intelligence in the classroom.
