The Concordia Board of Aldermen approved an appointment to fill a vacancy in Ward 1.
The board approved the appointment of Allan Hentges to the vacancy, which was left after Kaleb Nierman was elevated to become the city’s Mayor earlier in November. Nierman succeeded Michael Brown, who stepped down in October upon his appointment as the interim southern district commissioner in Lafayette County.
Aldermen then approved a recommendation from the Parks Committee to establish new rental rates for the park shelters and structures. City Administrator Dale Klussman details what the new rates were set at.
The board also approved the appointment of Jacob Borgstadt to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The Board of Aldermen next meet on Monday, December 1.
