With the Winter Solstice about a month away, Moberly Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey urges residents to sign up for the city’s alert system.

McGarvey says the system would provide residents with the latest information on weather updates, water main breaks and boil advisories, and other potential emergencies and alerts in the city.

 

The alerts can come in the form of a text message, an email, or voice mail. McGarvey says residents can sign up through the city’s webpage at moberlymo.org.

 

There are also alerts for non-emergency situations, like significant transportation problems with prolonged impacts or ongoing police or fire activity. To sign up, residents will need to provide their address and preferred method of contact.
