The Green Ridge R-VIII Board of Education reviewed the district’s Annual Performance Report (APR) score during its recent meeting, which ranked near the top in the Kaysinger Conference.

Green Ridge’s APR score came in at 83.3 percent, which is slightly lower than what the district earned last year. Superintendent Jonathan Petersen noted that this ranks Green Ridge second overall in the conference.

In other news from the board’s November 19th meeting, the board heard a presentation from LJ Hart and took action to save the district about $260,000 in interest on bonds.

During a closed session, the board accepted the resignation of current Elementary School Principal Rachel Hammers effective at the end of the school year. Hammers is retiring after 17 years with the Green Ridge R-VIII School District.
