The Boonville woman charged earlier this month with stealing funds from a Cooper County nonprofit is facing another round of charges in neighboring Boone County.

52-year-old Jennifer Waibel was booked Monday, Nov. 24 in the Cooper County Jail after she was charged in Boone County on felony counts of stealing at least $750 and fraudulent use of a credit or debit device. According to court records, Waibel was employed by Impact Support Services and given access to the company’s credit cards. The probable cause statement accuses Waibel of using those cards to purchase $13,650 worth of gift cards in March, without specifying reasons on her expense reports. When asked about the purchases by a member of Impact’s executive staff, Waibel is alleged to have offered to reimburse the firm. Bond on the charges from Boone County is set at $30,000.

Waibel is also facing a stealing charge in Cooper County, accused of stealing nearly $50,000 from the organization she was executive director of until September 2023. She waived arraignment earlier this month on the charge, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for late January.
