A project to install an interchange on Highway 65, near Routes H and HH north of Sedalia is nearing completion, with contractors estimating the work to be complete by the end of the year.

Pettis County Eastern Commissioner Israel Baeza says contractors are currently putting the finishing touches on the project, which includes connecting Route H to Georgetown Road and adding the necessary striping and signage.

Baeza says that contractors expect to have the interchange open by the end of the year, weather permitting. In addition to this project, Baeza says the county is working with the Missouri Department of Transportation about future improvements on Route HH and Highway 65.

The interchange project is funded by the Governor’s Transportation Cost Share Program, economic development funding, and funds from Pettis County’s budget. If inclement weather does interfere with the work, contractors still have until 2026 to finalize the project.
