Sedalia native Blake Grupe has been released by the New Orleans Saints after two kicks in the team’s 24-10 loss to Atlanta on Sunday, November 23.
Grupe was signed by the team as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2023, missing only nine of his field goal attempts in his first two seasons. In 2025, Grupe has missed eight kicks, connecting on just 69 percent of his field goal attempts.
The Saints have also signed kicker Cade York to their practice squad following a tryout on Tuesday.
Thank you New Orleans ❤️
This organization took a chance on me and I’ve gave everything I had to them and this city every Sunday for these last 3 years. I’m thankful for all the coaches and players that have supported me along the way. Nobody wanted it to work more than me.… pic.twitter.com/FdwkBmAJSW
