The organizers of downtown Sedalia’s annual Thanksgiving night lighting ceremony have announced that the fireworks show scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 27th will not take place.

The City of Sedalia and Sedalia Main Streets announced that the fireworks display atop Hotel Bothwell will not occur, following a fatal fire Wednesday morning involving AM Pyrotechnics of Buffalo, the firm that has staged the fireworks display.  Organizers of the lighting ceremony say all other events planned for Thursday night will go on as scheduled.
