The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a pair of crashes in the overnight hours Thursday, Nov. 27, both of which resulted in serious injuries for the drivers involved.

In Randolph County, a 26-year-old man from Clark incurred serious injury when at around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, his pickup went off the roadway as he was going south on Route 3 about two miles north of Mt Airy. The pickup then struck a bridge. The driver was taken to a Columbia hospital.

In Cooper County, a 40-year-old woman from Branson was ejected from her car after it left the northbound lane of Route 135 about five miles north of Pilot Grove. Troopers report that just before 2 a.m. Thursday, the woman’s vehicle went off the right side of the road after passing Lang Road, striking an embankment, becoming airborne and then overturning. She was also taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Troopers at both accidents report the drivers had not been wearing their seat belts when they each crashed.
