The Sturgeon man accused of shooting his father to death in May has entered a not guilty plea to updated charges.
32-year-old Dalton R Perkins entered his plea Monday in a Boone County courtroom, waiving arraignment on the charges that came from an indictment filed last week. The indictment, which supercedes one handed down by a grand jury in May, accuses Perkins of shooting his father Steve after an argument outside their house in northern Boone County the evening of May 3rd. Steve was the co-owner of a Glasgow grocery store. Dalton Perkins is facing charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action, domestic assault, and unlawful use of a weapon. His next hearing is scheduled for January 5th.
