Winter precipitation isn’t enough to derail the 19th Annual Old Fashioned Christmas in Glasgow as many of the day’s events, including the Winter Boat Parade, are still scheduled for this evening.

The event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Glasgow Main Street Association. Dizzie Hill says the goal of this event is support local businesses and community members.

 

Hill says the winter weather has moved some of the events indoors, but everything is still on track for this evening.

 

The Glasgow Winter Boat Parade is also taking place this evening at 6:30 p.m. Check in begins at 5:30 with line up beginning on Water Street. There will be a $400 prize for first place in each category, along with a $250 prize to the People’s Choice Award winner.
