The Missouri Department of Transportation has delayed the start of a bridge deck replacement project in southern Chariton County.
Crews with E&C Bridge LLC now plan to start work on the Route KK bridge over the Little Chariton River north of Glasgow on Dec. 15, a week later than previously announced. The 59-year-old bridge is the fourth and final bridge deck replacement project that E and C will tackle as part of a $2,489,470.46 contract. They’re also replacing the deck on the Route B bridge over Sambo Creek in Carroll County, with a target completion date of mid-January. E and C are also projected to complete replacement projects this month for the Route D bridge over Shoal Creek Drainage Ditch south of Ludlow and the Route JJ bridge over the West Fork of Wakenda Creek northwest of Norborne.
All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
