All the visitors to Marshall this weekend may like Christmas a lot when they take part in the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas Weekend celebration this Saturday.
This year’s theme of “Marshallville” will be reflected in the parade at 6 p.m., according to the chamber’s Brenda Zaragoza. She says before the parade, this year’s “Best Whos” will be crowned as part of a lighting ceremony.
The lighting ceremony will showcase the first upgrades to the city’s Christmas lights in decades, and feature performances from carolers and dance teams. The parade will cap a busy day of activities throughout the city.
Saturday’s events also include a Christmas movie at the Marshall Cinema at 3 p.m. and a chili and soup supper at the First Christian Church from 4 to 7:30 p.m. A full schedule of events is available on the Marshall Chamber of Commerce website.
