The City of Glasgow recently completed a test of their fire hydrants to ensure their reliability.

Mayor Donald Clear provided an update during the Monday, Dec. 8 meeting of the Glasgow Board of Aldermen. He says two hydrants are in need of attention.

Aldermen approved a request to improve the lighting at the intersection of Second and Market streets.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, aldermen approved paying an invoice from Sidener Environment Services covering part of improvements to the water plant. The board also heard about some issues developing at the city’s lift station.
