Filing for the 2026 April Municipal Election begins Tuesday, Dec. 9 and Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton’s office is accepting filing for many political subdivisions in the county until Dec. 30.

The Clerk’s office is accepting filings for the Village of Arrow Rock, City of Gilliam, Saline County Ambulance District, Slater Ambulance District, Sweet Springs Ambulance District, Saline County Rural Fire, Gilliam Special Road District, Malta Bend Special Road District, Malta Bend R-V School District, Marshall School District, and Orearville School District.  Citizens wishing to seek an open seat in another Saline County polity will need to file with their respective clerk or school district’s secretary.

Interested candidates can file during office hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office will close at noon on Dec. 24, and remain closed Dec. 25 for Christmas. The office will open until 5 p.m. on the last day of candidate filing.
