The Marshall Public Schools are actively looking for their next head Owl to lead the district’s activities department.

The Board of Education formally accepted the resignation of Kelly Callanan at the Tuesday, Dec. 9 meeting, after it was announced that Callanan will take the same position at Boonville next school year. Supt. Caleb Petet says the board will consider candidates for this and an assistant principal at Marshall High School early next semester.

One major task for the next activities director will be finding a new league for the Owls, with the North Central Missouri Conference dissolving at the end of the school year. Petet says Marshall continues to keep their ears open for potential developments.
