The Concordia R-II School District Board of Education voted to adopt the district’s updated curriculum during its meeting on Wednesday, December 10.

Superintendent Theresa Christian says the board has been working to update the district’s curriculum throughout the fall.

 

The board plans to more of the curriculum in January. Christian says the adopted curriculum will be posted to the district’s website to allow for full transparency for what’s being taught in the classroom. Christian says the board also plans to annually update and renew the curriculum moving forward.

The Board of Education also approved its insurance renewal with the Missouri United School Insurance Council (MUSIC). Christian notes the district is seeing about an 11 percent increase with this renewal.

 

The School Board will next meet on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
