A Warsaw woman has been charged with third-degree assault after an early-morning incident Thursday, Dec. 11 involving a pregnant victim.

According to a probable cause statement, the Benton County Sheriff’s office responded to a disturbance around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, where they had to disperse a crowd circled around a vehicle. Deputies report that they visited with the victim seated in the vehicle, who said she had gotten into a confrontation with the unborn child’s father and was attempting to leave.  According to deputies, the victim told them that 46-year-old Mandy Krueger approached the passenger side of the vehicle, prevented the door from closing, and then proceeded to strike the victim in the face and head, before spitting in her face. The victim was evaluated by paramedics on the scene and later sought medical treatment.

Krueger is facing one charge of third-degree assault of a special victim. Her bond is set at $75,000. No court dates have been set.
