Last week’s Marshall School Board meeting started with statewide recognition for one of their own members.
At Tuesday night’s meeting, the Missouri School Boards Association and Missouri Association of Rural Education both recognized Jack Lenz for his continued service to education and the Marshall community. Supt. Caleb Petet echoed the state organizations’ praises.
Lenz turned 90 in March and was most recently re-elected to the Marshall Board of Education in 2023. His seat, along with those currently held by Amy Green and Matt Smith, are up for election this April.
Also last week, Petet and the board recognized the generosity of the district’s staff to the United Way and Community Food Pantry.
The United Way of Saline County’s Mary Ann Gilpin was present last week to accept the district’s donations.
