
The City of Sedalia announced that Kelvin Shaw will officially retire on Friday, December 19, after 11 years of service to the City.
Shaw first announced his intent to retire on December 3, 2024, providing a year’s notice and outlining a transition plan to support continuity within city operations. During this transition period, he served as Project Director, working to support ongoing projects and administrative functions.
Shaw joined the City of Sedalia in 2014 as Finance Director and was appointed City Administrator in 2017. Over the course of his tenure, he also served as Project Director, contributing to key initiatives related to finance, infrastructure, economic development, and long-term planning.
