A one-vehicle crash south of Bunceton on Wednesday, Dec. 17 claimed the life of a Tipton man.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash just before 5 p.m. on Route B, just north of Elkstown Road. Troopers say the 20-year-old was driving his vehicle north when he went off the right side of the road and became airborne, striking several trees. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene a short time later by a Cooper County paramedic.

This is the 48th fatality recorded by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F this year in their 13-county region.
