The Saline County Commission and Gilliam Special Road District have announced the closure of the 290th Road bridge over Fish Creek southeast of Gilliam.

Commissioners tell KMMO News that crews with the road district have discovered problems with the bridge deck Thursday, Dec. 18, resulting in the need to close the bridge. Drivers will need to find a detour around the closure. The bridge will remain closed until further notice.
