The Chariton County Sheriff’s Department says the suspect they believe is behind a shots-fired incident in Brunswick is in custody.

In a statement, Sheriff Erick Billups says deputies were called to a house on the 100 block of East Harrison around 4:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18.  Billups says deputies learned that the house had been shot multiple times. After an investigation, deputies made an arrest later in the evening. Formal charges are pending in Chariton County Circuit Court. Billups says his department will provide an update on the investigation Friday.
