A road closure is scheduled in the City of Sedalia to allow for tree trimming and brush removal work.

The road closure is scheduled on South New York Ave from 24th Street to 28th Street on Monday, December 22, and Tuesday, December 23 for the work.

Residents are encouraged to plan an alternate route around the closure and use caution near crews and equipment.

Also, the City of Sedalia has altered its trash collection schedule around the Christmas holiday this week. Residents can expect to have their waste picked up a day earlier than normal, with Tuesday routes to be picked up on Monday, Wednesday routes picked up on Tuesday, and Thursday and Friday routes getting picked up on Wednesday.
