Chip Lindsey will be hearing a slightly different rendition of “Mr Brightside” next fall, as he’ll make the move from Michigan to Mizzou to become the Tigers’ next offensive coordinator.

Mizzou head coach Eli Drinkwitz announced Sunday, Dec. 21 that Lindsey would take over the Tigers offense, succeeding Kirby Moore after Moore became head coach at Washington State. Lindsey spent last season at Michigan, where the Wolverines averaged 213 rushing yards per game and another 186 in the air. He also has three years of head coaching experience at Troy, posting a 15-19 record, while also spending time as offensive coordinator at North Carolina, Central Florida, Auburn, Arizona State, and Southern Miss.

Lindsey will find himself working with quarterback Matt Zollers and running back Ahmad Hardy, who announced last week he would remain with the Tigers next season. The Tigers face Virginia next Saturday in Jacksonville in the Gator Bowl.
