A pair of improvements to the Fred W Davis Multipurpose Center on the State Fair Community College campus will take place at the conclusion of basketball season.

The college’s board of trustees accepted a bid Tuesday, Dec. 16 from Charles Luebbert Hardwood Floors of Jefferson City to resurface and repaint the gymnasium floor. SFCC President Dr Brent Bates describes the work as routine maintenance.

Luebbert submitted the only bid, totaling $52,628.

Also last week, the board accepted a bid from Trane for the purchase of two rooftop HVAC units to replace older units atop the building.

During winter break, the Fred W Davis Multipurpose Center will host the W-K Holiday Shootout. Games resume on the SFCC campus Dec. 27.
