
A suspect in a stolen vehicle led authorities with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, and Holden Police Department on a pursuit Monday morning along Highway 58.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, MSHP initiated a pursuit of a stolen vehicle out of Independence at 9 a.m. The pursuit entered into Johnson County via Highway 58, west of Kingsville. Johnson County deputies and the Holden Police Department assisted as the vehicle traveled south of Holden and then back into the city limits.
The suspect exited Holden via Highway U. The pursuit came to a conclusion at the intersection of Highway 58 and Northwest U.S. Highway 50, where the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
Per KMMO policy the name of the suspect will not be released until formal charges are filed.
