Listeners to KMMO will have an opportunity the evening of Christmas Eve to step back in time and experience what it was like to celebrate Christmas during the Golden Age of Radio, with the return of “An Old-Fashioned Christmas” airing at 6 p.m.

The program, hosted by local radio historian Rick Langdon, will feature radio icons such as Fibber McGee and Molly, Jack Benny, Phil Harris, the Andrews Sisters, and others. Langdon says “An Old-Fashioned Christmas” will bring back the “Theatre of the Mind” experience, which he describes as something that was unique, yet shared among listeners during that era.

Langdon says he hopes the program evokes fond memories for those who remember the days of Old Time Radio, while being a uniquely new experience for others.
