The New Franklin R-I Board of Education reviewed 2024-2025 APR results and set the calendar for the next school year during its meeting on Wednesday, December 17.

The district received an Annual Performance Report (APR) score of 86.1 percent from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The score was the highest among all Howard County school districts.

The board also approved the 2026-27 School Calendar. The first day of school begins August 25th, 2026, with the last day of school being set for May 21st, 2027. The district will continue to operate with a 166 day student calendar.

The Board of Education also approved the District Wellness Plan and conducted the quarterly review of the district Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP).

New Franklin’s School Board will next meet on Wednesday, January 21st.
