
A Sedalia man is facing felony charges after authorities investigated a road rage incident involving a weapon on December 18th.
An officer with the Sedalia Police Department was dispatched to the area of South Limit Avenue and 16th Street and spoke to the victim, who stated that Tyler Denny pulled next to him while he was stopped at an intersection on West Broadway Boulevard. The victim state that Denny and another occupant in the vehicle began to honk their horn and shout the victim’s name. Once the victim looked, he saw Denny brandishing a firearm and pointing it at him. The victim told authorities he was in fear of being shot by Denny.
Denny’s vehicle was later stopped outside the city limits by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department. Denny was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.
Denny has been charged with felonies for unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. He posted $25,000 bond on December 22. Denny is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 30 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
