Christmas came early to some motorists in Pettis County, as a reconfigured Route H reopened Wednesday, Dec. 24.
The roadway that runs from Route 65 northwest to Georgetown and Hughesville has been realigned to tie into a new, grade-separated interchange. The interchange between Routes 65, H and HH opened Dec. 5, replacing an at-grade intersection a half-mile to the south. It’s the culmination of a cost-share project between Pettis County and the Missouri Department of Transportation that began in the spring. A new alignment for Route HH and outer road to an existing business previously accessible from Route 65 was built as part of the project.
