Two teenagers were seriously injured Wednesday, Dec. 24 when their vehicle went off a Randolph County roadway.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 17-year-old from Cairo was driving around 11:25 p.m. on West Shore Drive in the Holiday Acres area, about four miles west of Jacksonville. Troopers say the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and into a creek. The Cairo driver and his passenger, a 16-year-old from Kansas City, were both taken to a Columbia hospital. Troopers say neither teenager was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
