Water service is returning to normal for customers of the Consolidated Public Water Supply District No. 2 of Lafayette, Johnson, and Saline Counties impacted by a water main break Saturday, Dec. 27.

The district says the 12-inch main was repaired around 10:45 a.m., and service should now be available to customers south of Interstate 70 and east of Highway KK. The district is asking all impacted customers to bring their water intended for consumption to a boil for three to five minutes and allow to cool before drinking. The boil advisory will remain in place until noon Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025.
