Citizens wanting to run for an office up for election in April have until Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. to submit their filing papers.
Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton reminds prospective candidates that some positions on the April 7 ballot may require a trip to her office to complete the paperwork.
Burton notes that polities seeking to place a measure on the ballot still have four weeks to submit their items before the certification deadline.
Burton adds that residents who are eligible to vote but have not registered have until March 11 to do so if they wish to vote in April’s election.
