A Franklin man was arrested and charged after Fayette Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance on Monday, December 29.

According to a probable cause statement, an officer with the Fayette Police Department was dispatched to a residence on South Cleveland Street at 1:37 p.m. Upon arrival, the officer observed a male subject identified as Trevor Summers yelling and throwing things in the backyard of the property. The officer made contact with the victim, who reported that Summers had knocked her to the ground and taken her cellphone after the two got into an argument. Police searched Summers, who did have the victim’s cellphone in his possession.

The officer also searched Summers’ vehicle, locating two .22 caliber rifles and two glass smoking devices. Police note that Summers is a convicted felon who is currently on probation.

Summers is facing two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and a felony for domestic assault in the third degree. Bond was set at $50,000 cash only with no contact with the victim. No court appearances have been set at this time.
