A Hale woman suffered moderate injury when her pickup went off a highway east of Avalon on Tuesday, Dec. 30.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 45-year-old woman was driving east on Route H at around 4:20 p.m. when two miles east of Avalon, her pickup went off the right side of the roadway. The truck struck a ditch and came to rest on its wheels in a driveway. The woman was taken to a Chillicothe hospital. Troopers say she had not been wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
