
A two-vehicle crash was reported on U.S. Highway 50 at 3:55 p.m. Friday, January 2.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by a 79-year-old Lee’s Summit woman pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Warrensburg juvenile on westbound U.S. Highway 50, two miles outside Lone Jack. The juvenile’s vehicle was struck on the driver’s side and overturned before coming to a rest on its wheels.
Both drivers sustained serious injuries and were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Both were reportedly wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
