A two-vehicle crash south of Knob Noster on Monday, Jan. 5 dealt serious injury to a Windsor woman.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the collision occurred around 6:10 a.m. Monday on Route 23, less than a half-mile south of Route Y. According to troopers, an SUV driven by a 54-year-old Windsor woman crossed the center line as she was driving south, into the path of a Kenworth driven by a 32-year-old Knob Noster man. The Kenworth also swerved toward the center of the road, resulting in the SUV striking the front of the truck. The Kenworth then went off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment, while the SUV came to rest in the northbound lane.

The Windsor woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries, while the driver from Knob Noster sought his own treatment of minor injuries. Troopers note that both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
