
The Slater City Council approved both readings of a bill allowing the city to sign for a 2025 MoDOT Transportation Alternatives Program Grant during its meeting on Tuesday, January 6.
The city was awarded $330,793 in TAP grant funds for sidewalk enhancements along Clyde Street in the northeastern part of the city. The council approved the first and second readings of a bill to authorize Mayor Pro Tem Jason Weiker to sign for the grant.
The council also approved a proposal from Gerding Korte and Chitwood CPAs for the City’s 2025 audit.
The council also announced its intention to change the start times of its meetings to 6 p.m. The council will need to approve the change by ordinance before it takes effect.
