The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced the reopening of a bridge outside Wakenda.

Crews reopened the Route B bridge over Sambo Creek south of Wakenda on Tuesday. The bridge had closed in mid-November to allow contractors E&C Bridge to replace the bridge deck. This is the third of four bridges that E&C will replace decks on in the area this winter, as they are continuing work on the Route KK bridge over the Little Chariton River north of Glasgow. That bridge is slated to reopen in March. Crews finished repairs last month to bridges outside Ludlow and Norborne.
