
Ronald Blackerby, 74, of rural Sweet Springs, MO, died Thursday, January 8, 2026, at his home.
Viewing and visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with a time of stories being shared beginning at 7:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital’s for Children. Born February 6, 1951, in Marshall, MO, he was the son of the late Clarence Blackerby and Ernestine Riddle Blackerby. Ron had lived in Saline County his entire life and was a 1969 graduate of Marshall High School. His career was spent farming as well as delivering The Sedalia Democrat for eight years.
Ron is survived by his brother, Randall Blackerby; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Ronni Jean Blackerby; and his companion of many years, Edna Simmons.
