A soybean farmer from Norborne will spend the next two years representing Missouri on a national executive board.

Kyle Durham was named last month to an at-large position on the executive committee of the United Soybean Board, the commodity’s checkoff-funded board that promotes research and education about the crop. Durham says he’ll be among 11 leaders chosen from the 77 farmers that comprise the USB.

Durham has also served on the board of the Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council for nine years. He notes that as checkoff-funded organizations, the USB and MSMC are not lobbying groups.

Norborne soybean farmer Kyle Durham will talk more about his appointment to the executive board when he is Larry Smith’s guest on a future installment of the KMMO Ag Report, which airs weekdays at 6:10 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.
