A Moberly man suffered moderate injury after troopers say he failed to yield to a truck along a Randolph County roadway Thursday, Jan. 15.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 35-year-old man was driving east on Route JJ, two miles outside of Huntsville, when at around 8:35 a.m., his vehicle struck the back of a Freightliner also heading east. The driver was treated at a nearby hospital. No injuries were reported for the Freightliner driver from Boonville. Troopers note that both men were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision.
