The City of Odessa is making progress towards beginning its Downtown Infrastructure Sidewalk project, with the Board of Aldermen approving an agreement for professional construction engineering services during its meeting on Monday, January 12th.

City Administrator Shawna Davis says the board approved the agreement with Cook, Flatt & Strobel Engineers.

 

Davis says the firm will be providing oversight on behalf of the city throughout the project.

 

The Board of Aldermen plan to approve an agreement with the contractor during its next meeting. Construction is expected to begin this spring.

The board also approved the appointment of Christine Fleehart to the Board of Adjustment. The Board’s next meeting is set for Monday, January 26th.
