Residents around the intersection of Union and St Charles streets in Moberly will go under a boil advisory Sunday, Jan. 18 after a water main break there.

The city’s water office announced Saturday night that service was interrupted following the break to customers along Union Avenue from Oak to St Charles, as well as St Charles from Union north to Fulton. The outage may also impact surrounding areas. Any resident who has experienced a loss of water service or low water pressure will go under a 48-hour boil advisory once service is restored. Water intended for consumption will need to be boiled for three minutes and allowed to cool before drinking. Moberly residents with questions can call the city’s water office at 660-263-4420.
