A number of city councils will delay their regular meetings to Tuesday, Jan. 20 because of the federal holiday.

With Monday being Martin Luther King Jr Day, nearly all federal, state and local government offices are closed, including the post office and most banks. This also means the city councils in Boonville, Moberly and Sedalia will now meet this Tuesday instead of Monday.  The times are the same, with Moberly at 6 p.m., Sedalia at 6:30 p.m., and Boonville at 7 p.m. Boards of aldermen in Concordia and Higginsville will also delay their meetings to Tuesday, while the Carrollton Town Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday evening.
