Document recordings and marriage licenses issued by the Saline County Recorder of Deeds both saw increases in 2025, according to totals announced last week by county recorder Jessica Baker.

Baker says that her office recorded a total of 3152 documents in 2025, which was an increase of about 220 documents from 2024. Her office also recorded 132 marriage licenses, which was 23 more than in 2024. She notes that three marriage licenses were already issued during the first two weeks of 2026.

Baker provided the totals during last Wednesday’s session of the Saline County Commission. She also provided an update on her office’s work to back index documents in their system, saying that several thousand documents going back to the 1960s were either entered into the system, audited, or corrected for missing information.
