sedalia-snow-removal

Emergency snow routes in the City of Sedalia have been lifted Monday afternoon.

The City’s Emergency Snow Routes have been fully pushed and treated overnight, with full-coverage salt and calcium chloride applied. In addition, all residential streets have received multiple plow passes, with salt applied as conditions allowed. As a result, Emergency Snow Routes have now been lifted, and vehicles may park on city streets again.

A total of 18 vehicles were relocated, but the city reports a smooth and successful transition into the weather event, thanks to community cooperation.

Public Works crews are now focusing on Downtown cleanup, airport runway clearing, and beginning brush cleanup at Spring Fork Lake.

In other news, the Sedalia School District 200 will be on the 2-hour delayed start schedule for Tuesday, January 27th. Buses will pick up students 2 hours later than usual, and school will start 2 hours later than regular start times. No morning or afternoon sessions will be held for the Loftus Early Childhood Center.
