UPDATE: Remington has been located and is safe

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol have issued an endangered person advisory for a one-year-old from the Warsaw area.

Authorities say that Remington Rose McLaughlin went missing Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, and is believed to be with her mother, 35-year-old Tristan McLaughlin. Officers say they were attempting to contact the two at an address southeast of Warsaw, after a court order for custody of Remington was obtained. The two were not located, and a direction of travel or destination were not known.

Anyone who has information about the location of either Remington or Tristan McLaughlin are asked to contact the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at 660-438-9555, or your nearest law enforcement agency by dialing 911.
