The Slater School District Board of Education approved and action item regarding Preschool Tuition for the next school year during its meeting Tuesday morning.

Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz detailed what each tuition rate was set at for students both in and out of the district.

 

The tuition rate will take effect for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Board of Education also approved a resolution accepting the updated Saline County Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan when it gets finalized later this year. The board also approved MSBA Policy 2025D, which includes changes pertaining to school safety, responses to weapons, disciplinary consequences, and reporting requirements.

Lorenz also reported that he submitted a waiver to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education regarding an earlier start date for the first day of the 2026-2027 school year.
